Terms of Use

English Habibi · Last updated 6 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Parshak Dahal ("we", "us") about your use of the English Habibi app and website (together, "English Habibi"). By downloading or using English Habibi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian.

1. What English Habibi is

English Habibi is a self-study app for learning English: lessons, games, quizzes and optional exam-style practice. It is an educational tool for practice only. It is not a school, a qualification, a migration service or professional advice.

2. No affiliation with any exam or test provider

English Habibi is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Pearson (PTE Academic), IDP, the British Council or Cambridge University Press & Assessment (IELTS), NAATI, or any other test provider or government body. PTE, PTE Academic, IELTS, NAATI and other names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe what the practice relates to.

All practice material in English Habibi is original. It does not contain official, past, leaked or "recalled" exam questions.

3. Practice only: no scores, results or outcomes are guaranteed

  • Any score, star, percentage, grade, certificate or feedback in English Habibi is a rough practice indicator made by the app. It is not accurate, it is not an official score, and it cannot predict your result in any real exam.
  • The practice mock test does not give a score. It shows your answers next to model answers so you can review them yourself.
  • English Habibi certificates (for example "Doctor of English") are for fun and motivation only. They are not real qualifications and must not be presented as one.
  • We do not promise that using English Habibi will help you pass any test, reach any score, get a visa, a job, a course place or any other outcome.

4. Content and accuracy

We take care to make lessons correct and clear, but English is flexible and mistakes can happen. Content is provided for learning and may contain errors, may be updated, and may not suit every learner or every exam's current requirements. Always check official information from the relevant test provider before an exam. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at [email protected].

5. Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use English Habibi on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms of Service. You must not:

  • copy, sell, resell, publish or share our lessons, quizzes, word lists, designs or code;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile or try to extract the app's content or source code, except where the law allows it;
  • use English Habibi to build a competing product, or to train artificial-intelligence models;
  • use English Habibi in any unlawful way.

6. Who owns what

English Habibi, including its lessons, quizzes, word lists, games, artwork, icons and code, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. The Mukta typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License. Anything you write in the app (such as practice answers) belongs to you and stays on your device.

7. Purchases

English Habibi is currently free. If we add paid content later, all purchases will be made through Apple's App Store and will be subject to Apple's terms. Apple handles payment and refunds; to ask for a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page. Prices and what is included may change, but a change will not take away content you have already bought.

8. Changes and availability

We may update, change or remove features or content, and we may stop offering English Habibi. We will try to give reasonable notice of major changes. We do not promise that English Habibi will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device.

9. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including guarantees that services are supplied with due care and skill. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a breach of such a guarantee, our liability is limited, at our choice, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

10. Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • English Habibi is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty other than those that the law does not allow us to exclude;
  • we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of opportunity, exam fees, results, visa or migration outcomes, study or job opportunities, data or profits, arising from your use of English Habibi;
  • our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for English Habibi in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD 10 if you paid nothing).

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using English Habibi at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you break these terms. Sections 2, 3, 6, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply after these terms end.

12. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for English Habibi or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If English Habibi fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to English Habibi, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone else's intellectual property; we are responsible for handling those claims to the extent these terms say so. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or listed as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you live outside Australia, you may also have rights under the laws of your own country that cannot be excluded.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you inside the app. If you keep using English Habibi after a change, the updated terms apply.
